<p>An AC signal converter is proposed which comprises N connected AC signal amplification cascades, where N is a natural number, with the possibility of increasing said cascades to an unlimited extent, wherein each DC voltage source is the power supply unit of the respective individual AC signal amplification cascade. Said AC signal converter draws a no-load current which is not dependent on the output power of said converter; the AC signal converter comprises circuits for connecting the amplification and conversion cascades of said converter in succession in the event of an increase in the load on said converter and disconnecting said amplification and conversion cascades in succession in the event of a reduction in the load, power is supplied to the AC signal amplification and conversion cascades of said converter from a voltage supply source which is individual to each of said cascades or from a voltage supply source which is common to any one or any number or all of the AC signal amplification and conversion cascades of said converter.</p> |
