摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus and a method for radioactive contamination inspection that can reduce background counting while suppressing increase in cost, even if the area of a surface to be detected by the apparatus is increased. <P>SOLUTION: A radioactive contamination inspection apparatus comprises a radiation detector, radiation incident position measuring means 8, detection area setting means 15 and a radioactivity calculation unit 16. The radiation detector is provided with a second electrode 3 as a resistant electrode that linearly extends in space inside a first electrode 2 as a cathode. The radiation incident position measuring means 8 determines the radiation incident position in the extending direction of the second electrode 3, from the ratio of signal intensity between the both ends of the second electrode 3, which is transmitted from the radiation detector. The detection area setting means 15 sets two or more detection areas by signal processing. The radioactivity calculation unit 16 calculates the radioactivity of an analyte based on a background set for every detection area. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT
