<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus without damaging a transfer belt 40 by a transfer material holding claw 611. <P>SOLUTION: The image forming apparatus comprises: a transfer belt 40 for carrying an image; a second transfer roller 61 having a transfer material holding claw 611 which is provided with an opening concave part 605 on the peripheral surface and is disposed at the opening concave part 605 to move in the radial direction, and with a support member which is disposed at the opening concave part 605 and holds a transfer material by contacting with the transfer material holding claw 611 through the transfer material; a pressing member for pressing the transfer belt 40 against the second transfer roller 61; and a regulation member 650 for regulating the distance between the transfer material holding claw 611 and the transfer belt 40 when the opening concave part 605 of the second transfer roller 61 faces the transfer belt 40. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
