<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To estimate a position or a posture of a camera more easily with a simple configuration. <P>SOLUTION: A composite image generation part 103 generates, based on a projection parameter for projecting the position of pixels constituting a reference image that is a reference for estimation to the position of pixels on a picked-up image corresponding to the pixels constituting the reference image, a composite image that is constituted of each pixel existing on the position on the picked-up image projected by using the projection parameter. An evaluation part 104 generates an evaluation function representing the correlation between the composite image and the reference image. A parameter update part 106 updates the projection parameter based on the evaluation function. Based on an updated projection parameter, at least one of a position or a posture of an imaging part is estimated.
