摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an engine cooling device that selects between: flow stop of coolant in an engine being cold; circulation of the coolant through the engine being half-warmed-up; and circulation of the coolant through a radiator having been full-warmed-up, with a simpler structure. <P>SOLUTION: The device includes: a heater-built-in thermostat-type selector valve 6 which can select valve positions in three ways as follows: a first valve position for circulating the coolant through a heat exchanger such as a heater core 5 which is required to operate before the engine has been warmed up; a second valve position for circulating the coolant through the engine in addition to the heat exchanger; and a third valve position for circulating the coolant through the radiator 9 in addition to the heat exchanger and the engine. The selector valve has a thermostat part which operates according to a coolant temperature passing through the valve to change the valve position, and has a heater built-in which is an electric heater forcibly operating the thermostat part through heating. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT
