The switch (1) has electrical feedthrough (20, 60) providing electrical interconnection to switch contact units (30, 50), respectively. A switching section (40) is formed between the switch contact units. The electrical feedthroughs are arranged within a switching chamber housing (10) and lateral with respect to longitudinal direction of the housing. The switch contact units comprise fasteners (72, 76) at the electrical feedthroughs, where the fasteners comprise releasable bolts (73, 75) for retaining the switch contact units.
