The compensating reservoir (1) has a pressure chamber (2) which is filled with pressure medium by a filler pipe (3) and a cover (4) which is fixed at the filler pipe. A sealing sleeve (5) formed as sealing element is provided with two sealing lips (6,7). The former sealing lip is tightly fitted at a radial sealing surface (8) of the cover, where the sealing surface is aligned to a central axis (M) of the reservoir.
