<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a silicon carbide sintered compact, for manufacturing the silicon carbide sintered compact having the same level of corrosion resistance as a silicon carbide sintered compact produced by a CVD method. <P>SOLUTION: The method for producing the silicon carbide sintered compact includes: a process of firing a mixture containing ethyl silicate and phenol resin under an inert atmosphere to extract powder of a silicon source that contains a silicon simple substance generated during the generation of a silicon carbide powder body; and a vapor deposition process of depositing the silicon source to a surface of the silicon carbide sintered compact. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
