<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing purified water suitable for medical and industrial use. <P>SOLUTION: This is the method for producing the purified water using an electric regeneration type deionizing device (an EDI device), which includes an ion exchange chamber (a desalting chamber) provided with an ion exchange resin, a concentration chamber, and electrode chambers (a cathode and an anode chamber), and the anion exchange resin in the ion exchange chamber is MR (macro-reticular) type anion exchange resin.
