The method involves placing semi-finished textile materials (8,9) in a base (3) of a shaping device (1) so as to form three-dimensional shape of the textile. The textile material is transformed subsequently by applying thermal force using an upper portion (2) of the shaping device and cooling the textile material at 60[deg] C for forming a textile preform (5) having defined shape. Independent claims are included for the following: (1) shaping device; and (2) fiber reinforced plastic component.
