The device has a spring i.e. torsion spring, inserted into a middle hole in an attachment part, where elastic force of the spring is converted into positioning torque for lifting a toilet seat (2) and/or toilet lid (3). The seat and/or the lid are lowered into a horizontal closing position when a positioning angle is smaller than a reverse-positioning angle of the seat and/or the lid. The seat and/or the lip are automatically lifted when the positioning angle is larger than the reverse-positioning angle and the positioning torque is larger than weight torque of the seat and/or the lid.
