<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electronic device capable of achieving the confirmation of a layout in an electronic book and the confirmation of sentences included in a displayed page by a simple operation. <P>SOLUTION: An electronic device 1 displays a part of the electronic book in a first area 11 and displays a part of the sentence included in the part in a second area 12. In the display state of displaying a first part J10 as a part of the electronic book in the first area 11 and displaying a part J40 of the sentence included in the first part in the second area 12, on the basis of the reception of a first input, the electronic device 1 performs page turning processing and switches a part of the electronic book to be displayed in the first area 11 from the first part J10 to a second part J20.
