<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrolyte for a photoelectric conversion element capable of achieving an excellent moisture resistance. <P>SOLUTION: The electrolyte for the photoelectric conversion element contains an ionic liquid (A), an organically modified lamellar clay mineral (B), and a moisture absorbent (C) as inorganic porous particles.
