<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a side airbag device for an automobile, being a gentle gradient in a rising curve of chest displacement, long in a required time of reaching a maximum arrival point, and becoming a low value in a numeric value. <P>SOLUTION: This side airbag device includes an inflator and a bag body 6 arranged on an indoor sidewall 4 and capable of inflating-deploying between the indoor sidewall 4 and the most indoor sidewall 4 side of an occupant corresponding position by gas jetted from the inflator. The bag body 6 is formed so as to become a substantially V shape in a plan view by a front part 6a and a rear part 6b capable of being brought into pressure contact with an occupant from the oblique direction toward a chest part Ma of the occupant M in an inflating-deploying state. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
