<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a railway vehicle that ensures high reliability over a long period of time. <P>SOLUTION: The railway vehicle includes: a vehicle body 2; a casing 8 which is installed below a floor of the vehicle body, and houses at least a part of a power converter 1; a skirt 5 which is attached below the floor of the vehicle body and covers the side of the casing; and a convection generation mechanism 10. The convection generation mechanism 10 is formed below the floor of the vehicle body 2, generates forced convection of outside air below the floor of the vehicle body covered with the skirt 5, and emits heat to be generated around the casing 8 to the outside. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
