<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a process for coating the front face of an oleophobic print head in the vicinity of an orifice outlet. <P>SOLUTION: A process is for fabricating oleophobic surface coatings to be deposited on a metal surface, such as the front-face or aperture plate of piezoelectric print heads and transfix rolls. The process includes: obtaining a conductive surface; processing the conductive surface with a silane-containing composition to obtain a thin layer of the silane-containing composition; obtaining an electrolyte solution containing an electrolyte and a monomer; and performing electrochemical polymerization on the processed conductive surface. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
