<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing an aromatic nitrile compound, capable of directly introducing a cyano group onto a non-substituted position of an aromatic compound without using a metal catalyst. <P>SOLUTION: This method for producing the nitrile compound is provided by cyaniding the aromatic compound in one pot by mixing the aromatic compound, a formamide compound, a strongly basic compound, aqueous ammonia and an iodinating agent, or cyaniding the aromatic compound by mixing the aromatic compound with the strongly basic compound for reaction and then further mixing the formamide compound, aqueous ammonia and iodinating agent. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
