PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a crystal nucleation agent that can sufficiently improve crystallization even when used in a polylactic resin having low optical purity, wherein favorable work environment can be maintained because little powder is scattered during a production process; and to provide a polylactic resin composition.

SOLUTION: The crystal nucleation agent for the polylactic resin comprises a specified aromatic sulfonate and a specified amide compound in a mass ratio of the former to the latter of 50.0/50.0 to 99.9/0.1.
