PROCESS FOR PRODUCING VEGETABLE FAT OR OIL

Provided is a process for efficiently producing a vegetable fat or oil from a structural material of a plant other than the seeds, while allowing the plant to photosynthesize continuously. The process for producing a vegetable fat or oil is characterized by: cultivating a plant constituted of sufficiently grown structural materials, while keeping the plant short of phosphorus, or cultivating a phosphorus-deficient mutant plant; and recovering neutral lipids which have accumulated in a structural material other than the seeds.
