<p>The problem to be solved is avoiding congestion in a network. To solve this problem, a packet communication device is provided with: a packet processing assessment unit for assessing whether, when packets are received, to conduct prescribed packet processing on said received packets by means of a first packet processor within said device; a search unit for searching another packet communication device that has a second packet processor installed therein, which conducts the same packet processing when the forwarding speed of the packet designated for packet processing by the packet processing assessment unit exceeds the processing speed of the first packet processor; and a forwarding unit for forwarding packets to the other packet communication device found by the search unit. Thus, it is possible to avoid network congestion.</p> |
