<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the amount of memory accesses when eliminating block noise of an interlace frame picture. <P>SOLUTION: A horizontal filter operation part 4 performs filter processing of horizontal edges in a first filter area corresponding to a first block. A vertical filter operation part 5 performs filter processing of vertical edges in the first filtering area after the horizontal filter processing. Image data of a save area is stored in a local memory 6 after the horizontal filter processing but before the vertical filter processing. The horizontal filter operation part 4 uses the pixel data stored in the local memory 6 when performing filter processing to horizontal edges in a second filter area corresponding to a second block adjacent to a lower side of the first block. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT</p> |
