The rotor (10) has a hub (11) and a set of blades (12) supported by the hub. A mast (15) is integrated to the hub to rotate the hub and the set of blades around a rotation axis (AX), where the rotor is provided with a lightning protection unit (30). The protection unit comprises an electric connection damping unit (35) that is arranged on a conduction unit (32). An electric connection unit (34) is connected to a target unit (38) exterior to the rotor. An independent claim is also included for an aircraft comprising a rotor.
