Use of a tag with an underwater installation

method of obtaining data relating to a component 1 for installation at an underwater facility, comprises the steps of: providing a tag 2 which stores data relating to the component 1, the tag 2 being operable to wirelessly transmit the data to a reader device 4; locating the tag 2 at the component 1; providing a reader device 4; and interrogating the tag 2 using the reader device 4, such that the tag 2 is caused to wirelessly transmit the data to the reader device 4. The tag 2 may be a RFID tag.
