PURPOSE: A remote data input system and a data input method thereof for variously inputting data by using a remote pointer are provided to efficiently use the laser pointer by performing data input at a pointing location. CONSTITUTION: A pointer(110) points an optical signal for a coordinate detection of a pointing location located on a display unit. A receiver(120) is mounted to the display unit and displays the pointing location according to the coordinate after calculating the coordinate of the pointing location. The pointer includes an optical signal generating unit and a key input unit. |
