<p>The invention relates to a composite material meant to be used in constructions, as a hydroinsulating or heat insulating agent, and to a process for preparing the same. According to the invention, the composite material comprises: polyethylene terephthalate; a filling material, such as clay, limestone, sand, cement or brick residues, porcelain, ceramics, cement mortar, cement, plaster; glass fibers; colours and vegetable oil. The process claimed by the invention consists in homogenizing the melted polyethylene terephthalate with the filling material in a mixer, at a temperature of 260...320°C, the resulting mixture being then pressed in moulds, at a pressure of 25...50 barr.</p> |
