<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a velocity detection apparatus whereby an approppriate velocity detection result can be obtained. <P>SOLUTION: The velocity detection apparatus includes an automatic frequency control unit 1 and a correlation calculation means 2 and is mounted on a wireless apparatus to detect the velocity of the wireless apparatus. The automatic frequency control unit 1 demodulates a reference signal demodulated from a wireless signal received by an antenna and synchronously with that of a communication opposite party into a digital demodulation signal so as to control the digital demodulation signal in a way of eliminating a frequency error of the digital demodulation signal. The correlation calculation means 2 converts a phase difference of the digital demodulation signals per unit time by using a function monotonously increasing or a function monotonously decreasing in proportion to the phase to calculate a correlation value. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
