摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress the degradation in a display grade due to a horizontal electric field and the nonuniformity in the display grade of respective sections of a display region. <P>SOLUTION: A scanning line driving circuit 5 has a shift register 51 which successively outputs transfer pulses YSi from each of a plurality of output terminals 511 by parallel shifting a plurality of transfer start pulses DY and a scanning signal output circuit 53 in which a plurality of unit circuits 531 outputting scanning signals Yi based on the transfer pulses YSi are arrayed in correspondence to the respective output terminals 511 of the shift register 51. The respective unit circuits 531 bring the scanning signals Yi to an active level in a period when an enable signal ENB 1 or ENB 2 supplied through a first enable signal line 551 or second enable signal 552 turns to the active level in the period when the transfer pulse YSi is supplied from the output terminal 511.
