The method involves fixing a fitting body in grooves (4) of a mold shaft (1) by pre-stressing. The mold shaft with the fitting body is inserted into a steam generator tube that is smooth at its inner side so that the fitting body is positioned in the tube. The fixing of the fitting body at the shaft is loosened, and the shaft is completely removed from the tube by rotation. The fitting body is provided with wires, and the grooves are formed in cone- or spiral-shape in a main region (2) of the shaft.
