PURPOSE: A method for tracking read level for non-volatile memory, memory controller performing the same and recording medium are provided to secure speed by reducing a data input/output time. CONSTITUTION: In a method for tracking read level for non-volatile memory, memory controller performing the same, first information related to a number of cell having a certain logic level or a number of cell having a specific cell is calculated and is stored. Program data is read according to a threshold level. Second information related to a number of cell having at least one state is calculated. Third information is extracted through a probability value using first information. The third information is information related to a number of cell having at least one state. The second information and the third information are compared(S120). It is determined whether a threshold level is changed or not(S130).
