PURPOSE: A device for operating a light emitting device is provided to change connection between sub light emitting units in series, parallel, or a combined method thereof, thereby controlling light of a light emitting unit. CONSTITUTION: A rectifying unit(200) rectifies an AC voltage to generate a rectification voltage. A first switching unit(211) is connected to the rectifying unit. The first switching unit includes a plurality of switching devices. A light emitting unit(240) includes a plurality of sub light emitting units. Each sub light emitting unit is connected to the switching devices respectively. A second switching unit(213) includes the switching devices.
