发明名称 METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING FOAMED GLASS FROM WASTE GLASS
摘要 PURPOSE: A method for manufacturing foamed glass using waste glass is provided to obtain the foamed glass by implementing a pulverizing process and a pyrolyzing process without the addition of a pore forming agent. CONSTITUTION: Sodium and boro alumino-silicate-based waste glass is prepared as a starting material for foamed glass. The waste glass is pulverized to be of a size between 1 and 10um. The pulverized waste glass powder is milled for 1-72 hours. The milled waste glass powder is compressed in a mold without the addition of a foaming agent to obtain a molded body. The molded body is sintered and foamed at a temperature between 600 and 1000°C. The density of the foamed glass is 287kg/m^3. The porosity of the foamed glass is 88%. The compressive intensity of the foamed glass is 1.4MPa. The thermal conductivity of the foamed glass at 25°C is 0.070kcal/mh°C.
