<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an induction hardening device and an induction hardening method which are preferable to strict adjustment of a hardening range of a material to be processed. <P>SOLUTION: The induction hardening device 1 for a work W includes a plurality of positioning jigs 2 to 5 which hold and position the work W, and a hardening coil 6 which applies electromagnetic induction heating to the work W by a high-frequency current, wherein a hardening portion and a non-hardening portion adjoin each other in the work W. Ingress of magnetic flux into the non-hardening portion which is emitted toward the hardening portion of the work W from the hardening coil 6 is shielded by the positioning jigs 2 to 5 which position the non-hardening portion adjoining the hardening portion of the work W. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT</p> |
