The switch has an actuator with electromagnets whose magnetic force pushes an actuating element (2) to an actuating position during short circuit. The actuating element actuates a switching unit for separating switching contacts in the actuating position, and a pilot switch module (1) has a blocking element (5) moved from a blocking position to a release position during short circuit. The blocking element releases movement of a signaling element (3) i.e. push rod, in a signaling position, where the blocking element is moved to the release position by the actuating element during short circuit.
