PURPOSE: A tensioning device and method for retensioning of wrap yarn is provided to improve the retensioning of warp yarn in a warp yarn layer. CONSTITUTION: A tensioning device comprises a supporting part(S-10,S-20) and positioning apparatus(S-30). The supporting part is connected to guiding components(S-11,S-11',S-21). The guiding components connect the supporting parts to the guide rail(FS). The guide rail transfers a warp yarn layer(KFS). The supporting part supports a tensioning unit(S-40) for retensioning at least one warp yarn(KF). The supporting part is fixed to the guide rail. The supporting part installs the locking elements(S-12,S22). The tension unit is transferred through the guide rail by using the positioning apparatus. The positioning apparatus connects the supporting part and control the distance thereof.
