PURPOSE: A liquid crystal display device is provided to use a liquid crystal layer expressing the blue phase by reducing manufacturing costs and improving the productivity and yield. CONSTITUTION: A liquid crystal display device includes as follows: a first substrate(200); a first electrode layer(230b) which is formed on the first substrate; a second electrode layer(232b) which is formed on the first substrate; a first wall shaped structure(233a) which is formed on the first electrode layer; a second wall shaped structure(234a) which is formed on the first electrode layer; a dielectric film(235) covers the first wall shaped structure, the second wall shaped structure, and the first substrate.
