The present invention describes an aqueous coating system for pharmaceutical substrates such as caplets, tablets, granules, pellets, microcapsules, soft or hard jelly capsules, controlled release systems, medical devices, composites, or any other substrate from the pharmaceutical, food, cosmetic, agricultural, packing, metal mechanical areas and in general any industry that requires the use of coatings. The novel coating system consists in the combination of Solid Lipidic Nanoparticles with water soluble and non-soluble polymers for providing the coated substrate with a continuous, shinny surface with a good film adhesion, which improve the mechanical, aesthetics and freedom characteristics. The characteristics of the film may be modified with the ratios of the polymeric and wax materials.
