PURPOSE: A ruthenium-based dye and a dye-sensitized solar cell using thereof are provided to offer remarkably improved photo electricity conversion efficiency to users compare to conventional dye. CONSTITUTION: A ruthenium-based dye contains a compound marked with chemical formula S. In the chemical formula S, A1 and A2 are selected from the group consisting of a substituted or un-substituted aryl group, a substituted or un-substituted heteroaryl group, or their combination. A3 and A4 are selected from a substituted or un-substituted silane group, the substituted or un-substituted aryl group, the substituted or un-substituted heteroaryl group, or their combination. X1 and X2 are silicon or carbon.
