<p>PURPOSE: A secondary battery and a battery module are provided to cover an electrode terminal from the outside of a case using a terminal cap for preventing the external short circuit. CONSTITUTION: A secondary battery(100) comprises the following: an electrode assembly(10) formed by winding a positive electrode(11) and a negative electrode(12) located on both side of a separator(13) with the separator; a case(20) for storing the electrode assembly; a cap plate(30) opening and closing an opening formed on one side of the case; electrode terminals(41,42) installed on terminal holes(311,312) of the cap plate, and connected to the electrode assembly; and a terminal cap(61) covering the electrode terminals from the outside of the case, formed with an electrical insulating material.</p> |
