PURPOSE: A c-Myc inhibitor composition containing ascofuranone is provided to ensure excellent anti-cancer and anti-tumor effect. CONSTITUTION: A c-Myc inhibitor composition contains ascofuranone of chemical formula and pharmaceutically acceptable carrier. A pharmaceutical composition for anti-cancer or anti-tumor contains ascofuranone of chemical formula as an active ingredient. The composition is taken by oral administration such as pill, liquid, powder, tablet, and capsule and parenteral administration including topical, nasal, mucosal, subcutaneous, and muscular administration.
