PURPOSE: A secondary battery and a battery module are provided to reduce the constant resistance between an electrode assembly and a terminal, and to easily and stably connect the terminal with a connection member. CONSTITUTION: A secondary battery(101) comprises the following: an electrode assembly(10) performing charging and discharging processes; a case(21) for storing the electrode assembly; a first terminal pillar(34) electrically connected to one electrode of the electrode assembly; and a first terminal plate(40) including a first plate unit(51) welded to the first terminal pillar, and a second plate unit(52) welded to the first plate unit. The first plate unit includes a hole for inserting the first terminal pillar. A supporter(34b) is formed on the upper side of the first terminal pillar.
