摘要 FIELD: physics. ^ SUBSTANCE: method provides a solitary-wave propagation mode with dispersion control. Optical amplifiers are connected in the fibre-optic transmission line with given interval and chromatic dispersion is picked up with period of variation of the dispersion of the fibre-optic transmission line less than the length of the solitary wave. An optical cable of given length with compensating optical fibres is placed in rings near sockets with a given interval along the fibre-optic transmission line. In the sockets, the compensating optical fibres are connected in series to the optical fibre of the transmission line. The dispersion of the compensating optical fibres has a sign which is opposite that of the dispersion of optical fibres of the transmission line. Gain of optical amplifiers is regulated and distance between sockets and parameters of the compensating optical fibres are chosen such that the solitary-wave propagation condition is satisfied in the fibre-optic transmission line. ^ EFFECT: wider field of use. ^ 1 dwg
