摘要 FIELD: process engineering. ^ SUBSTANCE: invention relates to metallurgy and may be used in producing flanges with axial bores at central hub by thixoforming, mainly, from aluminium alloy. Proposed thixobillet has a rod secured along its axis and pan with axial bore and flange. Pan bottom interacts with billet end face. Rod extends above billet top face, while rod opposite end is provided with head accommodated in pan recess. Billet is made by arranging said rod with pan in expanded cylindrical shell with no shits and aligned therewith and locking it by bottom heat-insulation cover. Globular suspension is filled in said shell and cooled in conditions of hindered heat withdrawal from shell faces after top cover is fitted in place and load is applied. To form flange, billet heated to solid-liquid state is fed into press working zone by retaining said rod vertically by its extending end. Rod head is fitted into pusher axial bore while thixobillet pan is arranged on lifter pusher face.
