SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR TARGET IDENTIFICATION

PURPOSE: A target identification system and a method thereof are provided to distinguish a target detected from radar and display the distinguished target as an icon, thereby easily recognizing the detected target from the radar. CONSTITUTION: Radar(110) is comprised in order to detect a target. A storage part(120) stores location information of a target object. A display part(140) indicates the target detected in the radar by an icon. A controller(130) distinguishes a shape by analyzing the detected target in the radar. The controller indicates the icon corresponding to the shape of the distinguished target in the display unit.
