PURPOSE: A light emitting polymer is provided to enable the dissolution in an organic solvent while emitting the fluorescent light, to facilitate the transportation of electronics, and to ensure excellent processability since a high temperature heat treatment process is not necessary. CONSTITUTION: A light emitting polymer is represented by chemical formula 1. The mass average molecular weight of the light emitting polymer is 10,000-100,000. An electroluminescent device successively forms a semitransparent electrode, a hole-transport layer, a polymer light-emitting layer and a metal electrode at the upper part of a substrate. The polymer light-emitting layer is formed of the light emitting polymer. The electroluminescent device further includes one or more layers selected from a hole blocking layer and an electron transport layer between the polymer light-emitting layer and the metal electrode.
