The tool (1) has body elements supporting assembling pins of a pawn type tucker. Another set of body elements are arranged on the former set of body elements. A frame (10) supports fixing units temporarily on the former set of body elements, where the fixing units are formed with magnet (13). Indexing units i.e. indexing openings (14, 15), are conceived to index the frame on the assembling pins. Measuring units i.e. measurement openings (16, 17), measure position of the frame opposite to predetermined reference areas selected on the former set of body elements. An independent claim is also included for a method for permitting measurements of relative positioning of body elements of a vehicle.
