<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a motion vector correction device capable of reducing visually uncomfortable feeling of an interpolation image even when a motion vector is relatively large and erroneous detection occurs. <P>SOLUTION: A motion vector detection section 2 detects a motion vector MV1 which is required to generate interpolation pixel data constituting an interpolation frame to be interpolated between at least two actual frames by using pixel data in the two actual frames in an input video signal. When the size of the motion vector MV1 exceeds a predetermined threshold, a motion vector correction section 4 corrects to reduce the size of the motion vector MV1 to be output as a motion vector MV3. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
