摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrophoresis display device capable of controlling three color attributes of brightness, chroma saturation and hue or at least one thereof by controlling migration of particles, thus providing a satisfactory color display, and further to provide a driving method thereof and an electronic equipment. <P>SOLUTION: An electrophoresis display device according to the present invention includes: a first substrate and a second substrate; an electrophoresis layer that is interposed between the first substrate and the second substrate and has at least a dispersion medium and particles mixed in the dispersion medium; first electrodes formed in island shapes for each pixel on a surface of the electrophoresis layer side of the first substrate; and a second electrode that is formed on a surface of the electrophoresis layer side of the second substrate and has a wider area than areas of the first electrodes.
