<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a simple method for dimming outputs of multiple lighting fixtures or loads differently by sending a signal that carries a plurality of dimming control data on the same signal line. <P>SOLUTION: A dimming signal transmitter 11 generates a dimming signal that indicates a dimming factor of loads 14A and 14B with a duty cycle and also indicates a dimming factor of loads 14C and 14D with frequency, and sends the dimming signal on one signal line connected to lighting devices 15A to 15D. The lighting devices 15A and 15B measure the duty cycle of the dimming signal and performs dimming of the loads 14A and 14B with a dimming factor corresponding to the duty cycle.
