<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To construct a drive system for passenger conveyors, which is formed of materials that have high speed endurance and operates passenger conveyors at high speed, and to provide a practical, simple, mass-producible and high-speed moving walkway provided with a system which allows many passengers to safely get on and off, and transfer at gateways of the moving walkway and a system without falling during walking on the moving walkway. <P>SOLUTION: The moving walkway uses inexpensive and simple driving wheels, and provides mass passenger transportation services. Endless gum rubbers 1 and 2 move on two rows of tires that are spread on a floor at high speed.
