<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a spindle device of a machine tool capable of suppressing vibration of a spindle by exerting damping performance according to the vibrating direction of the radial direction of the spindle when the spindle vibrates in the radial direction. <P>SOLUTION: In a housing 10 for supporting the spindle 20, three or more oil discharge opening portions for discharging oil to radial direction gaps 121 to 124 between a cylindrical inner peripheral surface of the hosing 10 and an outer peripheral surface of the spindle 20 are formed in a peripheral direction. At least one of pressure and amount of oil to be supplied to each of the oil discharge opening portions is changed. At least one of the pressure and amount of oil to be supplied to each of the oil discharge opening portions is changed according to the vibrating direction of the radial direction of the spindle 20 detected by a displacement sensor 201 to suppress vibration of the spindle 20. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
